The good news is that Fern’s OB liked her birth plan. The neutral news is that she is still where she was last week actually the doctor said that she is 1-2 cm dilated and 50% effaced which is less than last week (maybe the doctor was optimistic last week). The bad news is that the OB’s mom is in bad health and that she is flying back to the Philippines this weekend for 2 weeks. So, unless Fern is over a week late, we will deliver with the backup OB who she has never met. We also delivered Ellie with the backup OB.
