I Hate Microsoft

Once again, my love hate relationship with Microsoft rears it ugly head. Late last month our upgrade protection contract with Microsoft came do. Working with our vendor CDW, at the request from Microsoft, we tried to convert to an Enterprise Licensing Agreement. CDW had been successful getting out companies of our size to convert with [...]

Behavior Changes

Ellie is doing really well adjusting to being the big sister, but there has been some regression in her behavior and we are struggling with ways to effectively disciple her. Our feeling is that it is partly her age (we sometimes forget that she is only 3 3/4 years old) and partly the change in [...]

Two Sick Children

Windows Time Service

Ran into a couple of issues related to time synchronization at the office this morning. Long story short the PDC Emulator machine needs to be manually set to time sync to an external time source (makes sense, but ours was not). Microsoft’s Server 2003 Windows Time Service page provided the necessary steps to correct the situation.

Walmart Sells Batteries

I replaced the car battery today (it had gotten run down last weekend). I typically would have gone to Sears, but we have WalMart close by and sure enough they sell car batteries. So that’s what I got (only a 2 year warranty, but it was cheap).

Books on Tape woes
