Here is part of a conversation that Ellie had with her Mom today.
Ellie: I wonder if Crab has changed his shell?
Fern: Oh, Crab is in heaven with Jesus. Remember?
Ellie: Oh yeah. Sometimes I miss Crab.
Fern: I do too.
Ellie: Sometimes I think about Crab and the accident. It makes me sad. Do you know what I [...]
Sarah was baptized today. She wore the same baptismal gown that Ellie, my mom, her dad, and I wore. The gown is almost 100 years old. All of Sarah’s family was there (her Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Grand Parents) for the baptism and party afterwards. We had a fantastic, busy, crazy, fun and food filled [...]
Ellie (4 years) and her cousin Seth (3 years) are having fun playing together (they only get to do it on holidays). They were both excited about seeing each other, but after 5 hours of being awake, they are having a very difficult time sharing. Whatever Seth has, Ellie wants and vise versa. It shall [...]
Because of schedules we are holding our family Thanksgiving dinner today. I just got up and started the next stage in bread baking process. We did a lot yesterday in preparation. In a little bit I need to go out and turn the turkey over. It is currently sitting in a bucket of brine (see [...]
We definitely have something to be thankful for this day. Fern and the girls were in a serious car accident. On the way home for the pediatrician (Ellie has a bad cough) a car cut out in front of the van, and Fern plowed right into it. The other car veered off and hit a [...]
It’s been a crazy couple of days. I brought the new iMac home on Wednesday night, and started hooking it up in the office. In the process of hooking everything up, I had to move by web and mail server (the old Dell laptop). This ended up not being a good thing. Not good at [...]
Ellie turns 4 years old today. I can hardly believe that the little baby we brought home from the hospital has grown up so much and so fast. Ellie had a small party with her church friends at the house, and then we went and got her picture taken with Sarah. She will have another [...]
The new iMac just arrived at the office. I’ve set it up, installed the extra memory and AirPort card. I’m going to leave it at the office (locked up of course) for a couple of days so that I can get it configured before taking it home. It looks really sweet! I can’t wait to [...]
We’re leaving in a few mintues for a whirlwind trip to Ohio for the baptism of Fern’s nephew. Just about the whole family will be there. Congratulations to David and his family (Sharon, Ray and big brother Seth)!
Dang it, the cable is out again. I called Comcast late last night to see what was up. They are sending a technician out between 1 -5 PM on Monday. I’m hoping that it magically starts working again this weekend, but I’m not holding my breath.
Sarah has started to use her hands to reach for things. Just a couple of days ago she started to reach for toys when sitting in one of her seats. I can’t believe that she is already 3 months old. She is getting really big.
Well the long turmoil is finally over and we can finally get on with out lives again (especially those of you who lived in swing states). Whether you candidate won or lost it is time for us to focus on the future, and do what we can to make the world a better place.
President Bush’s [...]
Undecided voters, politics, and the election.
0 Comments Published by kbn 3 years, 8 months ago in GeneralOver the past two days, I have met two truly undecided voters. Now I’m pretty apolitical, but I know who I’m voting for tomorrow. These two people however had no idea for whom they were going to vote. I wish them luck tomorrow.
If I had my way, I’d get rid of them all (politicians). I’m [...]
We had a Dell representative come out to the office today to talk about SAN (Storage Area Network) technology. It is very enlightening. As we look to address the storage and performance needs of our network, SANs offer one approaching to meeting our goals. As I get a better handle on what they can offer, [...]
We had a fun filled busy weekend. On Saturday morning we went to Green Meadows farm. It’s a really nice farm that’s open in the month of October. We saw horses, pigs, ducks, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, mules, llamas, geese, bison, and cows, including my favorite, Sammy, a 10 year old 2,800 pound bull. We [...]
