Sarah is growing up really fast. She eats all the time and a lot too. She loves sweat sweet potatoes! While she is not crawling yet, she gets around very well by rolling all over the floor. It is quite fun to watch. We expect that in no time she will be crawling as she [...]
Well, I’m sick again. Since Christmas day I think I’ve only been truly healthy for about 5 days. This time I have strep throat. I’m on antibiotics (after waiting at 2.5 hours at the doctors last night). Because Fern had strep a couple of weeks ago, I went in at the first signs, and luckily [...]
Yes, today is my birthday. So I feel obligated to write something about it. It has been an amazing year. Birth of new baby girl, Ellie growing up into wonderful young lady, amazing family, car accident, our church small group friends, our great neighbors, and my wonderful wife. God has certainly blessed me and I’m [...]
It has been quite a while since I have read (or listened to) a Ben Bova book. I just finished listening to the unabridged version of The Precipice. This version was read by multiple readers and was throughly enjoyable. While the characters in the books were fairly stereotypical, they all combined to tell a good [...]
Unbeknown to me my Zeitgeist page was not updating correctly. All it took was a quick fix once I noticed that it was broken. So hop on over and look at what people are searching for to get to this site.
The German word zeitgeist means, literally, “time ghost,” figuratively meaning the “spirit of the time,” [...]
After a long hiatus we have finally added some new pictures to our gallery. We have a ton more to add (mostly from the holidays) and we’ll hopefully get around to it in the next couple of weeks, but for the meantime hop on over and take a look at some of the pictures of [...]
QEMU on Windows is a free (and pretty fast) virutal PC system. It allows for booting from ISO images which makes it great for testing your Bart’s PE images before burning to disk.
Paraglider finally developed as way to scan not only the harddrive files but also the registry files for SpyWare when using BartsPE. He has Ad-Aware and SpySweeper plugins.
Fab has released an Outlook Express Backup Plugin and stand alone app that backups Outlook Express emails, accounts, and address book, as well as IE favorites, Desktop Files, and Windows XP and Office activation files.
Reatogo has produced a repository of over 700 plugins for Bart’s PE, and is working an XPE version of the UBCD.
Sherpya has created a plugin for Bart’s PE that provides the full XP user interface. A simple howto has been written.
The Ultimate Boot CD (UBCD) for Windows builds a bootable CD with tons of free tools. It uses Bart’s PE with a lot of plugins to provide a very nice suite of tools. The only problem I have it is it modifies the plugins and removes the authors help and/or link info so it hard to track down the correct site if you want to upgrade a particular plugin.
Bart’s Preinstalled Environment (BartPE) bootable live windows CD/DVD
0 Comments Published by kbn 3 years, 5 months agoBart’s Preinstalled Environment (BartPE) bootable live windows CD/DVD is a great tool for creating a bootable WindowsXP/2003 CD for troublehooting PC systems. We have been using at the office with great success.
Sarah went in for her six month checkup on Wednesday, and once again she is off the charts. She weighed 20 lbs which puts her way above the 97th percentile (which is the top of the chart). Her height and head circumference were both in the 90th percentile range. The doctor said she was doing [...]
There is a serious security hole in AWStats versions 5.0 - 6.2 if you are running in CGI mode. A number of sites have been hacked via this bug. If you are running AWStats you need to upgrade now! It is simple and easy, it took me all of 2 minutes to perform the upgrade.
